Moons of Neptune

This series is composed of 13 wheel thrown ceramic vessels using a white stoneware clay called Soldate 60. The pieces take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours to complete on the wheel and another 15 hours for firing and finishing. They are first bisque-fired in an electric kiln and later fired in a Raku kiln with a method called "Ferric chloride fuming". I finish them with a light coat of spray-can polyurethane on the outside and a coat of wax on the inside. (The 13th pot, "Neso", is currently M.I.A. but I'll try to get a picture up soon:)
